Floating in the Trees

Floating in the trees explores unique performance potential by enabling dancers to be suspended above the ground, allowing for new types of movement.

The device incorporates the trees of the site and turns Old Main Lawn into a performance set, exploring the possibilities of performance on a landscape. The machine operates with ropes and pulleys as the dancers counterbalance each other with their movements.
