Muffle Mask

In the last two decades, cell phones and other handheld technological devices have imbedded themselves into our daily lives, transforming our behaviors, social norms, interactions, etiquette, and expectations. While our dependency on the virtual increases, our sense of physical presence in public space is squandered, and we become, in a sense, disembodied. Public space is constantly interrupted by private actions and conversations, and the Muffle Mask attempts to preserve the civility of the public by muffling private conversations to surrounding pedestrians.
